It is with great pleasure that we have accepted, for the fifth consecutive year, the honorary co-presidency of this 15th annual golf tournament benefitting La Maison Marguerite. The tournament will be held on August 20th at the Kanawaki Golf Club, a centennial private club located 20 minutes from downtown Montréal.

La Maison Marguerite was founded in 1977. It is a residential centre with a clear mission to house, feed and help - by all means possible - single women over 18 years of age, who are homeless, without money and in difficulty.

Thanks to the kind support of our business community's golfers and sponsors, monies raised at previous tournaments have been instrumental sources of funding for Maison Marguerite. They have helped maintain professional services, ranging from emergency housing to one-of a kind post-accommodation follow-up promoting social inclusion.

People, especially women, do not choose to be homeless. Homeless womens are often more numerous, older, and suffer dreadful hardships in a society where, too often, heads turn away.

We, who have been blessed by life and what it offers, are not always aware of how much these women need support. This tournament is a wonderful opportunity for us to commit to helping them, to ease their distress and support them on their journey.
